We are going to update Weewar.com to the latest version on Jan 31st. We’ll start the upgrade process at 1 pm (CET) and expect it to take about 1 hour. Weewar.com will be unavailable during that time. The update addresses a number of bugs and introduces an overhauled game interface. The biggest changes are all invisible and have to do with the multi server set up Weewar is running on. If all goes as expected this update will pave the way for some very exciting features we are already working on. We’ll keep you update on the progress here.

Servers are down (as scheduled) and we have started the data migration to the new version.

Ha: Withdrawal! That’s exactly what I was thinking. (At least it’s less time-consuming and life-eating than World of Warcraft.)
Not sure if it’s necessary because I don’t know for how long you guys were down to upgrade the site, but are you going to reset the game timers? (Doesn’t affect me, but might for others)

@spadequack yes, players who had less than several hours left had their turn times reset to accommodate the downtime.
I can get to the headquarters if I go to battleground2.weewar.com, but I go to http://weewar.com I get “The gears of Weewar are being oiled” message.

Working fine for me too. Nice and quick. The interface and just the screen in general seem a lot clearer the way it is now.
I have the same problem as Muzzafar. I cant access any details in the blog either. Interesting thing is if i access from work i do not have these issues.
Did something happen to the wiki after the upgrade? Seems to be gone. (including the tournament bracket!)
I like the update better… any chance we can get a timestamp on the chat though?
BTW, wiki wasn’t working for me either…
