We will be updating Weewar.com on Saturday, 8th of March (starting at about 7.30 pm CET). This update introduces some major changes and requires a migration of the database. We expect it to take around 2 hours.
Once we are back on you will see a new tab in your headquarters labeled “Your maps”. You will be able to create and share your very own maps for the first time.
Some 100 testers have been using and testing this over the last 2 weeks. Besides reporting and helping us getting it ready they have also created a fantastic collection of maps, some of which you can see in this gallery.
Will share more details about the other changes and updates in this release soon.

Awesome, I was waiting for this feature, and when I came back it launched! This is going to be for everyone, right? and I can’t wait to make a new map soon!

The data base is now migrated (and on a four times bigger DB server). Now on to updating the server farm …

The 40×40 sized maps were very hard on some slower clients slowing things down to a crawl. We intend to bring this and even larger maps back eventually.
Cool! But I just noticed I can’t do anything with my maps unless I’m pro… Can’t I even play with my maps with my friends? Or join other people’s maps?
Other pro players can invite you directly to their games on custom maps. But in order to create a game or join an open game on a custom map a pro account is required, I am afraid.
Awesome. Do you realize one of the maps in the gallery uses profanity?
