i can’t currently access the main site and games. :(
same here. the browser game of the year 2007 seems to be down…
It’s been down for about two hours now.
Is the server down for additional maintenance?
I emailed them both a couple of hours ago – but i doubt it’s down of maintenance. They would have posted here or put up the gears are being oiled screen.
First Wikipedia, then YouTube, now WeeWar. All of the internet’s best sites are going down!
as david said, most likely not due to maintenance. the weewar test server is online, tough…

The test server is where the devs test some changes to the main site before releasing it to everyone. It is at test.weewar.com. You’ll have to re-register. There aren’t usually many people there playing games, but you do get a pro account :)

They have, in the past, been known to update timers to account for extended downtime.

I still enjoy the game, when it works. Would have preferred not to go to flash, but I’ve gotten used to it. I do wish the developers would be a little more forthcoming about things and more focused on improving stability and dependability than new features.
Yeah, I just paid the $25 for 1 yr pro account, but not sure I’m gonna make it a year at this rate. Even when the game is working it keeps locking up when you end your turn.

Weewar is down yet again… Hours and hours of down time with no explanation. Right after I upgraded my account. WTF m8?
Doh! Server down every day for the past 4 days. Are you guys upgrading it?
If by “upgrading”, you mean somehow improving the server or the game software, I highly doubt that. Weewar has died. I’ll be surprised if they manage to notice that the server is down and turn it back on before Monday. Boo!
