Weewar is experiencing some memory problems, causing the server to go down spontaneously over the last couple days. We’re looking into it.
Update Aug. 21, 12:28am: We are still having server issues. Zapp will be turned off while we try to figure out the cause of the memory problems.
Update Aug. 22, 2:51am UTC-4: Server memory problems continue, unfortunately. In addition, in the process of clearing out old Zapp games, game actions within about an hour of the start of the latest downtime (roughly midnight til now) may have accidentally been lost. Sorry. If you are having problems with a game not loading, please contact us.
Update Aug. 24, 1:30am UTC-4: Server is getting better now. I have just deleted 18,247 games on Duck Island involving Zapp where the last move was made over two months ago (or the game was finished). These are mostly games that are automatically created when a user joins Weewar. I also removed bad references to missing profile images. Zapp is back on too.

had you considered clearing out all the junk in database, you know the 10,000 plus dead games zapp is playing, I’m sure there’s other stuff.
No development is one thing, no maintenance is bad form.

I’m officially done with weewar, when the website is back on, I’ll offer peace to all my remaining games, or quit the ones I’m sure to lose and then be off. This was absolutely ridiculous timing. I’m sorry to all the people who really tried to make this work, but it’s too late for me. Bleh, please ignore my last comments, I can’t quit weewar, I was just angry cause I woke up and it wasn’t working.. wanted to rant… lol..
I was super pissed off though, till I calmed down and realized, it’s a free game, and the good folks who are actually working out the problem don’t deserve to hear such rants from everyone, including me. It’s not me, It’s all on Ryan. I don’t have anything to do with weewar.com.
However I might make whimsical suggestions and I have stopped all my bots for the time being until the site is stable again. I am also considering stopping weewarspy updates.
P.s., i’ll return when / if the site can function 100% properly.. We’ll see if that happens

Thanks guys, this has been a terrible time for Weewar, very sad to see it dying on the vine, but I appreciate everything you guys are doing to try to get it back up.
